She’s Bold, she’s weird, but how did she get here? It’s a funny story, we promise to keep it brief!

Who the Hell is Stella?

Meet Stella

Former Horse Girl & Teenage Goth

Hi there! My name is Stella Harvey and I’ve been making stuff forever. Duct tape wallets, fleece hand warmers, felt stuffed animals, zines, posters, paintings, you name it. I started my first business, β€œStella Style” when I was 10 years old, and shortly after started a β€œGirl’s Art Club” at my elementary school.

I always wanted to be an artist and activist, to find purpose and meaning in the world around me through creating, but I couldn’t find the path of how to make a living doing what I loved. Then I got lucky, and the path found me.

I may not take art too seriously, but it’s deeply personal to me

I started Soft Stella in May of 2022 after I was laid off from my 9 to 5, and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve always used art and writing to relieve my sadness and anxiety, and I wholeheartedly believe that art and creating is essential to surviving the things that weigh us down.

I’m happiest when I get to make things that bring others joy or when I have an idea that makes me laugh. So let’s make stuff together and have a great time doing it!

ABORTION FORVER

Art Is advocacy, Art is magic

When I’m not making vampire art, I work as Shout Your Abortion’s Lead Designer, creating pro-abortion merchandise, materials for organizers and the banners, flags and social media posts we use to advocate for reproductive justice.
